Non-Surgical Skin Tightening Treatment
HOW IT WORKS
This innovative treatment has been performed in Europe for many years and has recently been introduced here in North America. It is a NON-invasive, NON-surgical procedure. The FDA approved device uses an electrical arc that is transmitted through a small probe. A charge occurs between the devices tip and the air transmitting to the skin and creating a plasma charge. Tiny dots will emerge on the skins surface. Specifically formulated strategic pattern will be made resulting in tissue retraction and tightening that can be seen immediately! Depending on the area being treated the procedure can take anywhere from 1-2 hours (this includes time for anesthetic cream)
WHAT TO EXPECT
After your initial consultation and screening of any contraindications we will book your appointment! On the days leading up to your appointment I will ask you to reframe from using any glycolic or retinolic acids and sunbathing. It is good to prepare your body and skin for optimal results and fast healing time, so please drink plenty of water for a couple days prior as well. On the day of your appointment I ask you to come fresh faced and makeup free. Allow yourself about 15 min before your appointment to fill out any paper work if you haven't already done so. You may take an antihistamine 30 minutes prior to you appointment, and again for 2-3 days after treatment. This will help with potential swelling you may experience.
A topical numbing cream will be applied to the treated area this will ease any discomfort during the procedure. There will be a mapping out of the area to ensure optimum results. You may feel some heat and a little discomfort.
Immediately after the treatment the area may appear red, swollen with slight discoloration and tiny crust like "dots". You may experience a sensation similar to a mild sunburn which will subside within 24 hours or less. Swelling may increase over the following 2-3 days. The dots will dry and fall off within 5-7 days depending on the individual. Results may be obvious immediately after treatment and will continue to improve over the next 8-12 weeks. Included in the treatment is a full aftercare set with specific instructions to secure the best results possible. The downtime to this treatment is considerably less than traditional surgery but results are REAL.
You may drive home immediately after your treatment, however due to the sensitivity of the eye area you may experience irritation and swelling, in which case you should avoid driving.
HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST AND HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED
The results of Fibroblast Skin-Tightening treatment can be visible for years. This varies depending on the aging process of the individual. Results can be seen immediately and the area will continue to improve over time. Best results can be seen at the 8-12 week mark, when the skin has fully healed. Depending on the area and the skins condition some clients may need more than one treatment. Additional treatments can be booked after 8 weeks. Usually Fibroblast Skin-tightening is a 2 session treatment. Many see results last anywhere from 3-8 years. Results are amazing and can take years off your skins appearance!
It is important to note that lifestyle choices can alter and/or shorten the benefits of the treatment. such as smoking, alcohol consumption and prolonged sun exposure.
